Rangam Trivedi Leads the Way with an Eco-Friendly Baby Feeding Center at SSG Hospital, Vadodara
In celebration of World Breastfeeding Week 2023, Rangam Trivedi, a dynamic socio-political activist from Vadodara and founder of the Bhavya Bharat Foundation, has spearheaded the launch of a pioneering eco-friendly baby feeding center at SSG Hospital, Vadodara. Recognizing the discomfort mothers faced due to the lack of dedicated baby feeding facilities, which could lead to health issues in infants, Trivedi took decisive action.
The center, strategically located near the pediatric ward, is constructed from repurposed solar panels and operates on solar energy, exemplifying sustainable innovation. This facility provides a safe, comfortable space for mothers to feed their infants, thereby supporting the health and well-being of the upcoming generation—Amrit Peedhi.
This free-of-cost center is equipped with essential amenities including a free sanitary pad machine, a diaper vending machine, drinking water, and fans, ensuring a comfortable and hygienic environment for both mothers and infants. Managed by SSG Hospital, it stands as a sustainable model for future projects. Rangam Trivedi rallied support from architects, industrial organizations, SSG administration, and the Vadodara Municipal Corporation to bring this project to life.
Dignitaries graced the inauguration, including the Mayor of Vadodara, Smt. Pinkiben Soni; Chairman of the Standing Committee VMC, Dr. Hitendrabhai Patel; Superintendent of SSG, Dr. Ranjan Iyer; MD of FIEG, Mr. Mehul Desai; Secretary of CMA Western Region Council, Mr. Mihir Vyas; and Founder of Baroda Youth Federation, Mr. Rukmil Shah.
This initiative, a collaboration between Bhavya Bharat Foundation, Niravadya Foundation, Federation of Industrial and Economic Growth, Twakshati, SSG, and Vadodara Municipal Corporation, marks a unique milestone as the first of its kind in Gujarat. Through this project, Trivedi continues to demonstrate his commitment to supporting mothers and fostering a healthier, brighter future for India.
